马吉·干草 has taught at The Academy since 2003 and has been 视觉艺术 部门 Chair since 2008.

She frequently presents The Academy’s 视觉艺术 and interdisciplinary design curriculum at several conferences including the National 艺术 Education Association Conference and Art Schools Network. Her interest in architecture is at the center of her teaching and her arts practice. She uses and incorporates painting and printmaking processes to explore our relationship to and our perception of the built environment. In addition to The Academy, she has ongoing art and design residencies in Chicago Public Schools through affiliations with organizations such as Chicago 艺术 Partnerships in Education, the Illinois 艺术 Council, and the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust.  She is the recipient of several Chicago Community 艺术 Assistance Program Grants, a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program Grant, and a Fulbright-Hays Seminar Abroad China. Stover has taught and exhibited regionally as well as internationally, including a residency as a teaching artist in Ireland (“Blueprints to Intaglio Plates: Exploring Georgian Architecture Through Printmaking,” a collaboration with The Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland and Graphic Studio Dublin funded by Irish 艺术 Council) and a visiting and exhibiting artist in Slovenia (Summer Summit 8 –City Museum, Ptuj, 斯洛文尼亚). She has a Bachelor of Fine 艺术 from Pratt Institute and Master of Fine 艺术 from SUNY Buffalo.
